California will always have a special place in my heart as it was where I took my first breath on SCUBA. My first open water dive was off Shaw's Cove in Laguana Beach California. Despite the 2 mile (well ok not really but felt that way) surface swim and 54F water I was hooked forever! Niether sea sickness nor youth of age could keep me from my appointed destiny. There is nothing more enjoyable than passing the hours away surrounded by water and beauty, I don't care if it's cold, if I'm working or just flitting around, SCUBA is the best. Below you'll find very early pictures I took with my first underwater camera, Ikelite housing for disposable Kodak cameras. Believe me the pictures get better as we go along :)

First time I went swimming with the CA Sea Lions, they are amazing, graceful, playful creatures!

SHARK! So he's little but I had never seen one that close before!
